As I was rummaging through my craft storage recently, I found a couple of partly used sketchbooks I had forgotten about. It’s not what I went in there for. But I was reminded that I’m making a concerted effort to use up more of my stationery, art and craft supplies. I decided to cut them down and re-make them into these mini sketchbooks. I was able to use up some random pieces of scrapbooking paper and also some old embroidery floss in the process.
Sitting down for a good crafting session is one of my favourite things to do. My stash is overflowing to be honest, but also there are things on my wish list that I’d like to buy. So it’s a good opportunity to work with what I’ve got, and whittle down my stash.
I do love a tiny notebook. They’re much less daunting than having hundreds of blank pages in front of me to fill. These have either five or ten sheets in each of them to make ten or twenty page sketchbooks. They’re about 10cm/4″ square. Very easy to fill up, I’ve already started the first one.
So … now I have quite a few of these … does anyone want a mini sketchbook? I’ll send you one. DM me on instagram. I’m @its.andrea.h.

P.S. I have a huge weakness for beautiful scrapbook papers. I’m coveting this one and this one.
P.P.S. If you’re starting from scratch with notebook making or any kind of bookbinding, a kit like this is great.
P.P.P.S. More notebook making.
