Once a week I try to take a dedicated chunk of time to read through a curated list of newsletters, blogs, online magazines etc. I don’t read everything. But I take some notes, maybe copy out some quotes, and save links to longer articles that I can read throughout the following week. It saves me from doomscrolling through the newsfeeds, social media and streaming services without any idea of what I’m looking for.
One of the apps I use for saving links is Instapaper. It syncs between my devices so I can save links from any one of them. When I find myself about to scroll mindlessly through my phone, I go into my Instapaper instead and find something good to read.
Here are a few of the things I’ve saved lately that I thought were worth sharing with you:
- The power of routine. Yes.
- Nine powerful films about Ukraine. I’ve added this one to my Netflix watchlist, and am keeping the article for future reference.
- While I was looking through the list of films, I came across a related list of books and pre-ordered a copy of In Isolation: Dispatches from Occupied Donbas.
- How to be News-Resilient. Some really good strategies.

P.S. Happy first week of spring to those of us in the northern hemisphere!
