Before a new month starts, there are a few pages and spreads I try (need?) to set up in advance in my notebooks. Things like calendars will start filling up before the month actually starts. And tracking/logging spreads are easy to fall behind on (for me, anyway) if they’re not ready to go by the first day.
I’ve made a short video flip-through of them. So, in order of appearance, these are some of the pages and spreads I’ve set up so far in my notebooks for April:
Monthly notebook set-up
- Everyday Planner
- month calendar, drawn out with a black Muji gel pen and Platinum Preppy fountain pen, and decorated with washi tape, stickers and a Tombow dual brush marker.
- first weekly spread, same as above.
- first week of daily pages, decorated with assorted papers, stickers, washi tape and stamps, labelled with day of the week stickers (I make my own) and date stamped.
- Quality of Life tracker, drawn out with a black Muji gel pen and decorated as above,
- Family Journal, pages labelled with month stickers (I make my own), and decorated as above.
- Blogging/Creative Notebook
- month calendar, done in the same way as the everyday planner, except the month and year are stamped
- blog post planner, drawn and decorated as above.
- Reading Journal, one page each for the next three books in my stack set up with a black Muji gel pen and Tombow dual brush markers
Side note to say … I don’t really enjoy setting up a monthly calendar in my everyday planner. But so far I haven’t found a monthly calendar in the A6 size that I like. I’m trialling one which is okay, but only the Sunday – Saturday week style was available, which my brain doesn’t like. Yes, these are details that I obsess about.
