A little update as to what’s happening in my little city garden in July:
These white geraniums were wilted and hardly blooming on my front porch. But here in the back, transplanted into a little terra-cotta pot, they’re thriving.
- Astilbe at its best.
- Dill, basil and thyme in the container garden.
- Impatiens and English ivy in a vintage watering can.
- The beginning of cherry tomatoes.
To be able to walk out the door when you come home from a job and wander into the garden to do a bit of watering gives you time to be creative in your mind.

Hope your July is starting out with a bit of a garden and some creativity.

P.S. My new favourite appetizer recipe which uses a few of the garden herbs.
